Animal Surgery Mesa, AZ | Dogs & Cats

animal surgery mesa az dogs and cats

There are many different types of animal surgeries performed for your pets health here at Augusta’s Animal Ranch Hospital in Mesa, AZ. All of these surgery procedures are scheduled to take place right here in our hospital, between Monday and Friday. Our staff is continuously focusing on your pets well being, safety, and that they are pain free as we can possibly make them throughout their surgery, and after surgery as well.

Here at Augusta’s Animal Ranch Hospital we take your pets health very seriously, and anytime your pet undergoes anesthesia there will always be a doctor, and one or more technicians that have been highly trained, and have the skills needed in monitoring your pets constantly. The things we monitor throughout each surgery are: temperature, blood pressure, heart rhythm, heart rate, respiratory rate, and the levels of carbon dioxide.

Before your pet undergoes any surgery, we do preoperative blood work, run an IV for fluids, put in place an IV catheter, all of these are to ensure the safety of your pet during and after surgery. Our highly skilled doctors have had extensive training in using a laser (which is used in place of a scalpel). The majority of surgeries recommend the use of a laser instead of a scalpel, for instance, the procedure of a feline being de-clawed goes much more smoothly when using the laser.
