Dr. Chavarry, DVM

Dr. Nicole Chavarry was born and raised in Miami, Florida where she attended Florida International University and earned her bachelor’s degree in biological sciences with a minor in chemistry. After working as a scientific scuba diver through college, she realized she had a calling to help animals in need. She worked as an emergency veterinary technician before deciding she wanted to become a veterinarian. She then attended the college of veterinary medicine at Western University of Health Sciences where she met her husband, who was attending the college of osteopathic medicine. They moved to Arizona so he could complete his residency in family medicine at HonorHealth in Scottsdale. Dr. Chavarry began working for Augusta Ranch Animal Hospital in June of 2016. She has special interests in internal medicine, dentistry, geriatric medicine, and clinical pathology. She and her husband share their home with 3 rescue cats and 2 rescue dogs. They enjoy spending their free time pursuing outdoor activities like hiking with their dogs (including an enthusiastic 3-legged Labrador and a valley fever surviving Boxer) as well as gardening and competing in Crossfit competitions across the valley.
